Cabin Rentals and Tent Camping

Maine hunting lodge fireplace

Lunksoos Camps has four cabins and a small lodge with board games, books and magazines, and a fireplace. Guests are welcome to use the lodge to relax. PHOTOS

There are three housekeeping cabins: Deasey, Hunt, and EastBranch:

  • Beds for six or seven: each cabin has two bedrooms with a bunkbed in each, and a loft with two or three twin beds

  • Propane lights, propane stoves, propane refrigerators, and direct-vent propane heaters -- we are 7.5 miles from power lines, there is no electricity

  • Cookware, dishes, mugs and glasses, eating and cooking utensils, non-electric coffee pot, dish towels and dish detergent, cutting board, can opener; and items such as bakeware are available if needed

  • Cold running water; water for dishwashing is heated on the stove; many people bring paper dishes and cups

  • Use of the modern shower house for hot showers

  • Very clean privies (a privy is an outhouse)

  • Outside: picnic table, chairs, and fire ring for campfires - we provide the wood

The one non-housekeeping cabin, the Bunkhouse, has:

  • Propane gas lights and a direct-vent propane heater
  • Half bath
  • King-size bed and one twin-size upper bunk
  • Use of the modern shower house for hot showers
  • Bunkhouse photos

For all cabins:

  • Summer guests bring their own pillows and bath towels.
  • We are 7.5 miles from power lines, so there is no electricity in the cabins; the lodge generator is not run long enough to charge laptops or phones
  • Cell phones work about two miles from camp
  • We supply wood for campfires.

Tent Camping

We provide beautiful grassy sites on the river. Site rental includes hot showers, well water, picnic table, fire ring and wood for campfires, privy. There are five tent campsites. Tent site photos
