Where in the world are we?
- In T3R7, Maine, USA.
T3R7 means Township 3, Range 7. We are near Baxter State Park and the towns of Patten, Sherman, Benedicta, and Stacyville
- In Wildlife-Management District 10 and near 11
- On a river called the East Branch of the
Penobscot
Please note: In
the winter we can only be reached by snowmobile.
From Interstate Route 95 heading north
- Go from your location to Route 95 NORTH in Maine.
- Take exit 264 (formerly exit 58) in Sherman, the exit for the North Entrance to Baxter State Park.
- Turn LEFT at the end of the exit ramp onto Route 158. You'll only be on this road about a minute, and will pass, on your right, an Irving gas station.
- Take the first left after the Irving onto Grindstone Road/Route 11 South, and go straight, toward Stacyville.
- Stay on Route 11 South for 5 miles. Note your mileage. The road makes a
sharp turn to the left. Don't make the turn! Stay straight.
- When you stay straight you will be on Swift Brook Road. The road becomes dirt after about 100 feet. In about a quarter mile, on clear days, a panoramic view of the mountains opens before you.
- Stay straight for 7.5 miles to camp. At 5 miles
there is a fork in the road - keep going straight,
downhill and then along the river for the last 2.5
miles. The driveway is on the right.

Route 95 heading south
- Go from your location to Route 95 SOUTH in Maine.
